An undiscovered gem of a track, what does anyone else think?

It is fantastic Steve - but I still can't really get past Boy From The Moon.
For me, it's one of those tracks that your finger NEVER goes near the fast forward button. |

I was stuggling to get into the album when I first played it and it didn't click for what seemed like ages. Andy said I should just stick with it and it was Sold My Star that first decided to embed itself in my head. There is something very eerie about the drum loop (was that a sample from another track?) and the way the track maintains the same level from start to finish. Lovely vocals on this track too.

Same here. It took quite a long while to find the milk and honey in the milk and honey, if you know what I mean. But it´s worth it to hang in there. I think the new album is easier to get into. |

Agreed. 'Secret Life' is very good, but I think I prefer 'Dog-Eared Moonlight'. The vocals seem to be better handled, not so 'effected' and a lot more direct. Plus the latter has a very varied sound, esp. with the pedal-steel in some songs. Better album.
