Well, what I can say. It is beautiful. First time ever I own records draped in purple cloth. Iīm psyched out! Well done Andrew x 2!
Itīs great to have those mastered 180 gram LP:s. But I havenīt been able to listen to them since my damn turntable suddenly isnīt working. But just a look at the puzzle tells me that I leave that to the kids to solve. I wanted that box set as soon as I saw it, I'll have to save up for it though. Too bad I can't buy it with some Dukes Dollars..

My beautiful purple velvet Dukes box set has been sitting quietly on the shelf since I got it for Christmas last year. It's the sort of pop artefact you just want to gaze at once in a while. The T-shirt, of course, is no longer in the box.. it's in my wardrobe and I wear it any time I'm in a purpley frame of mind. And I'm not sure I want to attempt the jigsaw puzzle. But The Complete and Utter Dukes - along with my TWO Fuzzy Warbles box sets - are among my most prized possessions. They give you that warm glow inside while most things out in the harsh world leave you cold...

I popped into this Dukes thread tonight not realising the Great Man had left a comment back in November regarding my two Fuzzy Warbles boxsets.
This is easily explained: I already owned one boxset diligently built up as and when each volume (and then the box itself) was released. The second set came courtesy of the Radio Two Mark Radcliffe show a few years back. Andy was the guest on the show and offered a FW boxset for anyone who could answer the following questions: What was Andy's middle name, which Fuzzy volume had Chinese writing on the cover and, eh, I forget the last question! Anyway, I won the prize and it duly arrived with an 'Och Aye Stephen' inscription from Andy on the plastic sleeve. Just as well I'm Scottish...... |

Ewar,we don't have any in stock {I don't think,let me check},but if you don't have the CDs and/or vinyl,they are getting repressed at the moment. Check the shop soon.

Just a quickie. Steve at Weatherbox,{remember him?} has just sent me a handful of mail that contains at least 5 applications from people for Dukes shirts from the box sets they bought. I am REALLY sorry for those of you who have waited so long for these,at least six months in some cases,we are dealing with this cross wires/lapse/company change over incident as quickly as possible.
