You have to sign in first. It's one of the ways "they" get you to register (and sign your soul away (IMG:http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3287/apeshock20x20po2.jpg) ). |

Anybody know how to fix a leaking tap. one of those modern ones without washers? Yeah, I just did that a few weeks ago. First, shut off the water. Then, take apart the faucet and pull out the cartridge inside it. Then tell everybody they can't use the bathroom for about an hour and a half, and realize that you should have told them this before you started your little project. Take the cartridge down to the hardware store, and tell the guy with the large wart on his head that you need two catridges "just like this one." Then, go back home and put the new cartridge back in the faucet, and put it all back together (this may be the hard part, not sure). Repeat on other faucet, just for fun. Your faucet didn't really need a new cartridge, it really only needed a rubber o-ring on the cartridge, that costs less than a tenth of a penny to manufacture in Malaysia. But that's an indictment of capitalism that's best covered in a separate thread, my friend. Now, it's also possible that you didn't need any new parts at all, you just needed to tighten down the threaded thing that holds your faucet in place. That's what happened to me. But I forgot to tell you that earlier, and you're already out thirty bucks. But it's cheaper than a plumber, and best of all, no plumber's crack. |

Oh, I forgot, you can turn the water main back on now, so people can use the bathroom.

That's all well and fine for you Windows users who make Bill Gates even richer, but how does it work on a Mac? |

That's all well and fine for you Windows users who make Bill Gates even richer, but how does it work on a Mac? Hold down the Control key while clicking on the emoticon you want and you'll see a menu. Select "Copy Image Address" To use the image directly, hit the button for inserting an image (the little sunset icon below Fonts) and then just paste the copied URL address into the box. If you're going to use the emoticons a lot, create a text file (on your Mac you can use MS Word, SimpleText, or Stickies) and paste in all the addresses you've copied and then just go back to that file every time you need the address. So if you copy this text: http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3287/apeshock20x20po2.jpg into the box you should see this (I hope this works): (IMG:http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/3287/apeshock20x20po2.jpg) |
