main verse chug,where it's all in the wrist and leaning on certain notes

133211 =F Throw on thumb to bass note with down stroke,catch top few notes with two up strokes
533533 =some sort of F? slide up to lower strings withdown stroke,hit with two up strokes the G/D and A strings mostly

this is the verse stuff.then,the pre chorus........

x13333 =Bb6
x03333 =Bb something
311311 =Eb something?
133211 =F

threee of those into title line{which is also the intro}

353433 =G7 "no matter what the weather..."
113311 =? "you and the"
111331 =? "clouds will still be'

Back to verse chords.That's pretty much it for my part.

there's a couple of variants over the outro but i'll check out what they are as I've forgotten and get back to ye's all.

The chords on the outro are .

133211 =F
47675x =E7 ?

but every fourth round the vocals emphasise the movement of the notes C to B/F to E as a harmony over the E7 chord

Where's Truzzi when you need him? I really love this song, so I'll give you the chords that I use in my piano adaptation. I think some of them are slightly different than Andy's, but are easier to play on the keyboard. Jeff can correct me later if I'm off on any.

intro chords

113311 = Fsus4
111331 = Bb add 4 (Andy's chord has both the major 3rd and the 4th (i.e. both D and Eb notes), which gives a really wonderful dissonance on the guitar. I play the adjacent notes on the keyboard, but some people might find that clashing if they don't know how it's supposed to sound.

main verse chug,where it's all in the wrist and leaning on certain notes

133211 = F6 (Andy has a straight F here, but the F6 sounds better and he does have it in the next chord)
533533 = F6 (A bass)

this is the verse stuff.then,the pre chorus........

x13333 =Bb6 (I play either a straight Bb or a Gm7 chord with Bb bass)
x03333 =Bb6 /A bass (or Gm7/A bass)
311311 =Gm7 (Andy has an Eb note in there, which you can substitute for the D, making it a Bbsus4/G bass...I think I'll switch to that)
133211 =F
(These four chords above are basically Bb6 with a descending bass line resolving to F)

three of those into title line{which is also the intro}

353433 =G7/9 "no matter what the weather..."
113311 = Bbmaj7/9 "you and the"
111331 = Ebmaj7/9 "clouds will still be'

The chords on the outro are .

133211 = F
47675x = E7 (and I think there may also be the flat 9 (i.e. an F note) which is why you're hearing the diminished chord, Kelts...you can play it as Ab diminished with an E bass...just a beautiful chord that's both happy and sad at the same time!)
