1) Made a lemon cake.
2) Ate (a large lump of) lemon cake. 3) Buggered about on facebook. 4) Discovered that the security tag had been left on my new linen jacket. 5) Continued to bugger about on facebook while the missus took my new linen jacket back to the shop to have the security tag removed. |

From Sunday:
1 Got up amazingly late for me (09.00) - normally awake and out of bed by 6.00 2 Took #2 son to guitar lesson 3 Went to Hyde Park 4 Saw Metronomy (v good), The Hives (v funny), TV on the Radio (dull and earnest), Grace Jones (barking but impressively fit for 63), Pulp (v good but sense the vibe in the band a bit strained) 5 Got home had a "sombrero de nochos" and hit the sack, knackered at 1.00am. |

1) Received email telling me my account's been verified on this, the umpteenth occasion of attempted registration! Tried a bunch of times in February-March to no avail. Success! Happiness! But I couldn't commence any textly yammering because I had to
2) Slog away at the factory for 10 hours. Finally returned home, ate dinner, caught up with the news, and sat down with a lovely mug of hot chocky and 3) Muddled about with the profile settings and wondered where I should start my forum yak & yammer. A newbie; I've built up several months observations, opinions, smart-arse remarks, and a million words of praise for all things XTC/Dukes and APE. I didn't want to start my own thread, as I'd prefer to make a quieter entrance, so I 4) Decided this thread was a good way of weaseling in! So now that I've eased my way in and settled comfortably amongst the flowers on the forum wall 5) I'd like to say Hello to all, and a huge thank you to Mr. Partridge and the Admin (the other Andy?) for letting me into the club. I suppose I'll be letting out all my pent up APE love in random spurts as I step out from the wall every so often. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) |

Thank you, Mr. Tein.
If I have my history correct, Andy's major health problem occurred shortly before my uneventful arrival into the universe. So YouTube's been my concert venue. |

Welcome, rockpants! Rock on! Always great to have another Andy/APE/XTC fan here.
Don't be shy about starting new threads, that's what usually increases posting activity. |

1 Woke up in a Paris hotel room still wearing a dressing gown and a bit confused about my dream concerning David Cameron and his ownership of a park. Finished reading this month's MOJO's special on Macca.
2 Went to a meeting with some French people - my colleague in London appearing on a big telly. Talked about "Ref Connexion" - the French dudes misspelt an English town called Carshalton by leaving out the "L" - the result made me laugh. 3 Went to another meeting with some British dudes who had travelled to Paris especially and who told us we need to pay the engineer we'd like to hire 300,000 euros. Which was nice. 4 Had lunch in the slightly posh bit of the staff restaurant (the really posh bit is on the first floor), had salmon and asparagus but unfortunately my companion was v v boring and I had to work very hard to engage him in conversation. Nevertheless we found common ground in our combined criticisms of another colleague who is even more boring than him. 5 Travelled home on the Eurostar and accepted the food tray even though I'd just eaten. Sampled the cheese (pooh) and the pate (slightly browner pooh) and the dessert (green pooh). Consumed the bread and wine though. This post has been edited by The Lost Jockey: Jul 8 2011, 07:21 PM |

1. Woke up and washed my hair.
2. Made coffee, got the kids their breakfast and packed their lunches for camp. 3. Read and worried about the newspaper story detailing how lots of small dogs and cats are being found dead due to the recent dramatic increase of coyotes in the New Orleans area. 4. Went outside and called my cat in, gratefully noting that he had survived the night. 5. Went to work and filled in for the absent cook, making lunch and snacks for 85 hungry little people. |

Yesterday.....
1. I took my breakfast outside and ate it then watered my roses, trimmed them a bit and watered my hanging tomatoe plant. I noticed I now have 11 tomatoes growning on it (yeah!!!!) as Friday, I only noticed 4. 2. Walked downtown with the mister to a sporting good shop with a huge summer sale going on. We each bought a T-shirt (hideous price if it hadn't been on sale) and relished in the fact that we bought such quality merchandise at a bargain basement price. Walked back home. 3. The mister moved both of our Muskoka chairs underneath our massive spruce tree and we both read for about an hour, quietly enjoying the lovely weather whilst both drinking a Stella. 4. Ate dinner which consisted of a hamburger for the mister and a salad for me. I do eat hamburgers but just didn't want anything that heavy. 5. Later, we both went out for our usual evening stroll. We stopped at the coffee shop, pick up a coffee and walked home. We sat on our front porch to drink our coffee and engage in some conversation..... all the while, me content in the fact that at least after dinner I do spend my time with the right man (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) |

1- Woke up to the sound of a squirrel running across the roof to the tree where my birdfeeder is, to eat all the seed.
2-Let my dog out to scare squirrel. The squirrel scurries about 10ft up into the tree and mocks my dog for not being able to climb. 3-I throw an apple at the squirrel, miss, but close enough that it flees to roof and runs away. 4-Consider getting my son's paintball gun and keeping it on kitchen counter, but decide it would just end up all over the tree and my dog. Decide that I will move birdfeeder out of tree to a squirrel-proof pole instead. 5- Made a pot of coffee and read Sunday newspapers. |
