I got a time out on the "songs that blew your mind" thread after I had written a twenty-five song list.
That didn't blow my mind.
It just blew.

I've had this issue for a few days. It times out & I have to arrow back & copy the post, reenter the thread and repost it. At first I thought it was just my long posts, but it also did it on very short ones. I'm on a Mac using Safari for what it's worth.

I don't know if this has happened with other members, but safari has been crashing and getting "bad server response" on certain sites. I now use firefox for those sites. A friend of mine also had this happen with safari recently, lost e-mails etc.

Hi guys, simpleton01 here from tech suppport. This happens to me all the time, both when I'm posting and when I'm writing long, romantic personal messages to all my women friends and chrestus.

Here's my advice.

When you get the "your message timed out" warning, or whatever the hell it says, DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT hit the back button, or your cogent and extremely well-written post will be lost forever. Instead, hit "refresh," and then refresh (or is it "retry?") again at the prompt, and your glorious post will magically appear on the forum.

If you have any questions, please contact Steve. He needs a good laugh.

In response to some questions, I'm running Windows NT at 40 gigahertz.

Actually, I don't know what the fuck I'm talking about.

Is Steve also the one to contact when we are facing the problem of having your inbox crammed full of too many long, romantic personal messages? Because an inbox can only take so much.

Wait! That's incorrect. It's my sent folder that's crammed full. I know who to talk to about that.

Steve has gone!

Wrong! Steve was never here. You see, there is no Steve. He was a figment of forum imagination. Or, as Mr Tein would say, a figment of frnm igmtann.

That's exactly what I keep teloing myself!
STEVE IS JUST A FIGMENT OF MY IMAGINATION.

One day I'm going tio make myself believe it, too!

When they told us there was this magical guy named STEVE, who sat in the clouds in a bathrobe and oversaw all of our puny attempts to communicate via the series of tubes called the internet, it was a comforting thought. No more.

Wrong.
There IS a Steve.
And he's more real and present right now at this very moment than you could possibly imagine.

Yes... I had that timeout problem twice on the same post yesterday and it hadn't taken me 30sec to type my reply.
