Love BOTH of those songs....
Phill Jupitus directed (and is in) that video for Sexuality, and also wrote alternate lyrics for the song, and retitled it Bestiality. Here he is performing it with Billy Bragg. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X84rq_HonXw You can be with a BUMBLEBEEEEEE! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I too love both those songs.
Is there something you'd like to share with the group, don? |

Actually my first time hearing the Billy Bragg song pretty much corresponds with the first time I heard XTC: late 1991, watching 120 Minutes on MTV, which as a 15-year-old in small-town Texas was the only way to hear ANYTHING that wasn't top-40 or country.
A few months later we got a very low-powered alternative station whose signal I used to try to pick up by moving my boombox around the room. I actually won the album that Sexuality was on (on CASSETTE) from that station. They were supposed to give me Blur's Leisure, though I was happy about the mixup, because I the only Blur song I knew at the time was "There's No Other Way", which I didn't like. I didn't start liking them for several years. The next time I won something from the station it was the opposite: I was supposed to get a CD I actually wanted (can't for my life remember which one it was at the moment), but they ended up giving me Pearl Jam's Ten. I think I was the only teenager that didn't like it. I gave it to my stepsister. I couldn't be very picky, as I had to get my dad to pick things up from the station, since it was 45 miles away. |
