Well, the person that wrote this must be a fan of XTC:

Just found this. A site listing the top 100 acts. XTC at place 60. Should have been a lot higher, of course...

Just different, depends on your mood. If I feel like listening to Joy Division then XTc don't figure. And the other way around. Nobody is better than anybody else. It's all relative, dude. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Are you sure it's a record store? I just tried to hit the link from work but got blocked by the office's content blocker

Fripp has ongoing battles with EMI. UMG, et al.
The link will go away eventually, so here's the text:

My thanks to Toby Howard for spotting and sharing this Twitter update from XTC's Andy Partridge.

"Found EMI problem. They'd been paying my royalties for DEAR GOD to Avenged Sevenfold writer for his song of same title, without telling me."

followed by..

"No big pay day on this as EMI had paid me his royalties on previous years,w/o telling me...apparently. A win then then, lose now situation."

Sorry Per, I missed that gig. And I'd rather hear him do his own stuff than a tribute to Cream.
