Sorry, but "extrovert" is not exclusive. (IMG:http://ape.uk.net/forum/style_images/ip.boardpr/folder_post_icons/icon10.gif)

well, this is stretching things a bit, but aren't there a couple "pre-gap" tracks on a couple of the discs? Nothing significant like "Wanking Man" and "Shaving Brush Boogie" hidden of Coat of Many Cupboards but IIRC there are a couple little snippets... or am I tripping on something?
There's also "Now We All Dead (It Doesn't Matter)" on Hinges. This post has been edited by Spastic Minnow: Nov 3 2010, 05:41 PM |

Yes, that is the case Blu. I don't write very clearly sometimes (sorry). I received my birthday Warbles and it is like an XTC treasure chest. Songs I've never heard before and songs I hear so differently with a different presentation. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I'm not even half way through and can't believe my stupidity for not getting these sooner.

"Summer Hot As This" always springs to mind when I think of Fuzzy Warbles. Probably my favourite. Others I just love include "Motorcycle Landscape", "End Of The Pier" and "I Gave My Suitcase Away". Ahh heck I love most of the exclusive to FWs.

So many good songs, enjoying the less produced* Big Express/Great Fire era stuff and have found a few new absolute favourites too. It really is such a wealth of good songs.
*edit - less produced is probably not the best word for it but the best I can do. This post has been edited by hummingbird: Nov 21 2010, 04:51 AM |

I actually think a couple of the demos came out better than their expensively recorded twins. That's sometimes the way,the quick off the cuff sketch having more life and verve.

Andy, some of your songs I never truly appreciated UNTIL I heard the demos.

Great Fire and Train Running Low On Soul Coal, in particular, I almost had to pull the car over. I love the FW versions of these. They alone make the set well worth it, not even getting into all of the great new(to me) songs. I can understand why Stephen Hope has 2 sets.
