Just got the package from APE. The Deluxe Version is absolutely fantastic. A piece of superb art by the two Andrews. Heavy, beuatiful. Gave me a boner for different reasons... (Ladys has to flip to the backside.)

Great sleevenotes. I love reading those in detail comments. Specially when they are so personal as they are in this case. Many thanks for that Andy and Colin.

Itīs damn frustrating. My stereo is not working right now, so I canīt spin the vinyls. Anyone else had the time to listen?

Next week, Ottey. Help is on the way. My stereo have been broken, more or less, for almost two years. I am little bit tired of listen to music in my iPod.

I must once again underline how great the sleeve is. Fantastic package. Please no jokes about that you never can go wrong with a moist and ready muff right up your face, ha ha! As said before, great reading as well. Very extensive sleevenotes. Lot of that brilliant Swindon humour from both Andy and Colin.

excellent, thanks Per. Don't tell us too much about the liner notes (or maybe that's just me). Can't wait to get mine. Good luck with the stereo.

Ok, so Sweden is closer to the U.K. than Australia, by far. But still, it could theoretically come this morning. Maybe. Perhaps the Swedish postal system is slow. Maybe Australia Post is pushing things through quickly for the Christmas Rush. Deliveries are usually in the next hour. My record player is all waiting. I'll do an video unboxing on Youtube, if anyone is curious.

Obviously, if it doesn't come today, it's going to be a looooong weekend.

Yeah, I took a quick drive back to my apartment during work (I live very close to my office) to check if it came- as it is oversized I'd have to pick it up from the post office at the end of the day. Nope, maybe tomorrow.

on a related note, has anyone gotten their T-shirts? There was no mention of whether they were immediately in stock or not, but I made a note in my order that they could pack the album and shirts together if it was convenient for them. Hope that doesn't delay the album even more... I have a feeling they'd just ship them separately anyway.

Hoping mine will arrive soon. I think I had it shipped to work so that I wouldn't have to pick it up or let it sit outside my door in the 15 degree F temp here today.

My Mum just e-mailed me to tell me a "package from England" arrived today. I had it shipped to her place because I don't trust the flat complex I am in. Unfortunately I don't have a turn table, so I'll just be able to read the notes in the deluxe edition. However, I also shipped a copy to a friend of mine who is going to convert it into uncompressed digital files (he gets to keep the record as a reward for the service). So I might be able to get a listen soon (if he got his today). And if the midwest is getting theirs today, you might have yours soon Bluey and Spaz.

It's in da house. And there it will stay until it gets hoisted to the top of that bookshelf with my Dukes special edition CDs. Now, if I only had a turn table to play it on. Oh well, waiting on digital conversions.

I have to say I didn't like the cover image all that much when I saw a picture of it online. Seeing it "live" I appreciate it more.

I find it odd that there's not one comment on the actual music. I myself have had it shipped to my Dad as I'm in Germany on my Year Abroad, and will have to wait until either he converts it, or I come home for xmas. Surely there must be someone out there who has both the delivery and a working turn-table to comment on the audio?

EDIT: Yeah, I know...don't call me Surely.

I think only a few of us have gotten it so far. And yes, coincidentally none of us have a working turn table at the moment.

I do! I do! It's my main source of music listening, other than when I'm home recording. It's all ready to go, but postage here was originally only supposed to be delayed by one day because of the floods, but I'm onto Day Three with no mail.

I'm not sure a digital rip is really a fair way to judge a vinyl remaster, especially as the signal level of vinyl is a lot lower, meaning a large increase in volume and compression will be needed to be able to hear it on your average I-Pod.

I hear ya Lenin. But I'm not prepared buy a system for this record only. It's obvious you are an audiophile with a sensitive ear for the nuances of recorded music. I am eager to read what you have to say when you have finally played the record. I am just hoping that a non-compressed transfer (to .WAV files) will yield something a little better than what I have on CD already. Mostly I wanted to support Andy and his business, hold an album in my hands again (and all the tactile goodness that comes with it) and perhaps one day spin it on a nice record player if I choose to start buying records again (which may happen).

Well, as if by magic, it arrived yesterday.
Would it be terribly immodest of me to say that I think it looks quite nice? And I don't think the general packshots really do it justice. I really like the format too.
