I'd been checking the old XTCidearecords.co.uk forum address about, say, once a week since it went down, just to see if it was ever going to return. I hadn't been very active there for the past year or so, but like the neighbourhood pub it was good to know that the doors were always open, so to speak. And then they weren't.

Anyhow, I've spent a bit of time over on the Music Gourmets forum, which is an interesting board - like the Old Pub it's not very heavily populated but the active posters are funny and personable and it just works somehow.

As an inveterate mixtape-maker of yore (lately mixed CDs, of course) I've found that podcasting my mixes has been a fun way to get them out there. You may enoy them.

Not playing much music lately, but have been gearing up to do a bit of home recording.

Gave up the book publishing company and have been a full-time worker bee & spending more time with Mrs. Staggerlee and all the little Staggers. Which is an excellent development.

And how've you been?

Well, Bold Staggerlee, I'm fatter and older and have a new guitar. I play quietly to myself these days and practice folky fingerstyles and weird tunings ( my current valentine is a cute C-G-C-G-C-D which sounds weird but is a wormhole to a whole new universe) and like the good DOC, am (trying) to enjoy my girls, but, being teens, they think Dad's 'lame' and his music 'sucks', and they are getting smarter every day. One day they'll want to bond again.

But on that day.....

I'll be in Swindon with Tein and Per, getting pissed and having a fuckin' ball!

I'll PM you about it staggsy!!! ...and anyone else who asks.. but don't say I didn't warn you... or ask Mare, she's heard a lot of my stuff over the last year or two, she'll warn you away properly!

Warn you that you'll absolutely love the pop confections DOC seems to be talented enough to endlessly generate!!! At least I love them, can't get enough as a matter of fact. Wonderful stuff!!! That's just the kind of cowboy he is!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

And what about those MySpace pages, DOC?
